Photo Update!

Put pictures on Facebook today! I made the album public so even if we’re not facebook friends you can look at it. Maybe someone will be nice enough to put the link here as a comment so I don’t have to look it back up on this ridiculously slow internet connection….

Just spent the last few days on Tanna, which was amazing. Climbed partway up Mt. Yasur, the world’s most accessible active volcano. It was like a sand dune, only black. And every once in a while there was a rumble like thunder and a big cloud of ash spewed out from the top. SWEET. Also the volunteer we visited was AWESOME and her library is AMAZING and I’m super inspired. YAY! Now I’m in transit… plane landed in Vila this morning but bus is picking us up at night so I’ve had lots of internet time today (hence time to upload photos).

Had strep last week, got pretty much over it but feeling sick again today. Hopefully I’ll have time to rest in the next few days.

I just put some care package ideas on the “Send Me Stuff” page, since I didn’t get around to it last time I updated!

Site announcements are October 29. We come back into Vila on Halloween then (provided we pass the language profiency) swear in on November 4. Sites are still very up in the air, but for SHREP we’re fairly sure we’ll be anywhere between the Banks and Efate. Which is only like half the country haha.

Ale, lukim yu!!
